Some Homeschooling High School Friends

Sometimes I look around at my online homeschool community and feel a bit lonely. I see lots of really cute craft ideas geared for preschoolers. Or, I see great printable worksheets geared for elementary kids.

I still have one student who likes cute worksheets and fun crafts. I also have two students who don't spend as much of their homeschool days doing cute stuff the way they used to. For the 2015-2016 school year, Addison will be a High School Senior and Brennan will be a High School Freshman.

Perhaps I've been part of the Homeschooling High School silence problem. Somewhere along the way I stopped sharing about how my older two spend their homeschool days. Perhaps I wrongly assumed that nobody was interested in hearing about Addison's latest calculus proof or Brennan's reading assignment for government.

Recently a group of my blogging friends on The Old Schoolhouse Review Crew decided to put an end to the high school blogging silence. Through the end of this year, we will dedicate at least one post per month to sharing how we are homeschooling our high school students.
June 24: Planning for High School
July 29: Electives
August 26: Math, Science Biology
September 30: Language Arts
October 28: "How am I going to teach High School . . . ?"
November 25: How do you fit it all in?
December 30: Graduation
Be sure to visit some of the Homeschooling High School friends listed below and then stop back in a few weeks to hear how we're making plans for successful High School days.

  1. I'm going to have to follow these posts for sure. My oldest is starting highschool in the fall and I'm a little intimidated about it, actually. Looking forward to gleaning some wisdom here.
