Random Five on Friday April 4, 2014

1. I could probably do a better job keeping up with homeschooling (and everything else) if I didn't have so many medical appointments each week. We had seven different appointments this week, and I think it's been more than a month since I've had fewer than five per week.

2. Homemade fondant tastes much better than store bought.

3. My never-ending ear infection finally seems to be improving. The pressure isn't quite as intense, and I'm starting to hear a little more clearly on that side.

4. I noticed the first few buds on a saguaro cactus today. (And sadly, didn't have my good camera with me.)

5. Sometime last year I started a knitting project that was a rather complicated entrelac design done on circular needles. After about five rows, I realized that I had a twist in the stitches and had to take it all out. I finally gathered up the courage to pick up the yarn and start again. I was halfway through the sixth row today when I noticed the twist.

  1. Praying life calms down very soon and you can feel like things are "normal". I admire your stick-to-it-ness!
