Random Five on Friday, August 30th
1. Cloudy days make for gorgeous views.
2. One of Brennan's best friends from church recently moved just down the street from us, and for a while last weekend, we had kids from three families that all got to hang out together.
3. Tim joined the kids trying to scale the walls at the rock climbing birthday party Lauren went to last Saturday.
4. We are extremely blessed by a friend who allowed us to borrow their microscope so that Addison could use it for her anatomy/physiology class.
5. Lauren's math this week has been focused on addition with regrouping, and I was thrilled when the concept finally clicked. Another joy-filled homeschool moment!
I enjoy sharing random thoughts about our week. If you'd like to join the fun, you can either click on the "Random 5 on Friday" birdhouse button above or visit The Pebble Pond. I'm also linking up with Collage Friday at Homegrown Learners.

My husband wishes that I'd elaborate on the picture of him. Apparently, it's not obvious from the picture that he had climbed eight or nine feet in the air before trying to get past the huge overhang.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great week! Keilee did some rock climbing this week too! Visiting from "Collage Friday" hop. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and telling me about the cinnamon ant trick. We have to figure out how they are getting inside and then I will give it a try. I am so glad that you were able to borrow a microscope for Addison. Good microscopes are pretty expensive. Math-U-See definitely helped Alyssa "get" certain mathematical concepts - it is a joyous occasion when they finally understand the concept. I wish I had been taught Math that way when I was younger. The rock climbing party looks fun. I have to figure out what I will do for Alyssa's birthday this year. The new house won't be organized enough to have the party at the house yet. Well, have a blessed Labor Day and week!
